Kent brings diligence, calm, and a deep sense of responsibility to his role at Martin & Martin. Originally from Ormoc in the Visayas region of the Philippines, Kent is the third child of a family of ten children and has long embraced the role of provider – both supporting his family financially as well as helping his siblings with their education and life decisions. Known within his family as the ‘responsible older brother’, Kent’s grounded, level-headed approach carries through into his work life.
Pragmatic and with a keen interest in numbers, Kent pursued the study of accounting – a field he recognised as being in constant demand across industries and locations. After completing his studies locally in Ormoc, he began his career in the distribution sector.
Kent then went on to spend five years working at a Philippines based Mercedes-Benz satellite office. There, he handled accounts receivable and gained valuable exposure to clients and partners from countries like South Korea, Malaysia, and Australia. An experience that sharpened his communication skills and cross-cultural understanding of commerce.
Today, Kent thrives in the collaborative and systematic environment of a productive team within Martin & Martin’s Philippines Office. While he describes himself as naturally introverted and quiet, he’s known for his warm presence and subtle sense of humour. He finds satisfaction in producing high-quality financial outputs that inform executive decision-making, and he sees clear communication, especially around client deadlines and details as a crucial part of his role. Though his first experience working in taxation as a freelancer was a challenge, he’s embraced the technical work with dedication and is proud to be part of a team that supports and mentors one another.
Kent loves working within our Martin & Martin Team in producing tax returns and quality reporting. His thoughtful, steady approach makes him a trusted and valued member of the team.

Best advice I have been given
Rejection doesn’t mean it’s the end – it simply means that something better is still on its way. Sometimes, closed doors are just redirections. Be patient, stay persistent, and trust that the right opportunity will come at the right time.
