Vincent How
Consultant
Vincent (Vince) grew up with both of his parents each having their own restaurant businesses. With two hospitality businesses in the family, he was exposed from an early age to the similarities, differences and varying choices we can make in running a business. Fascinated by how businesses work, it’s no surprise he’s ended up in a role such as accounting. Being raised in a hospitality family means he has been indoctrinated with strong customer service skills. Much like many people who have worked in front of house, Vince is not shy with small talk.
Vince can be described as enthusiastic, curious, diplomatic, likeable. He likes to have a go at things. Though he might not be the fastest or the most elite, he’s certainly consistent and prides himself on his hard work ethic and persistence coupled with a desire for feedback that mean he keeps on evolving and improving.
Much like how a kitchen-hand does the grunt work and learns the foundations, the in’s and out’s of what’s going on in a restaurant before being involved in front of house, cooking or management, Vince feels a great satisfaction in building his knowledge base and being exposed to a diverse range of clients and industries with Martin & Martin. He enjoys the challenge of practicing the technical side of tax and the many ways to create a positive outcome for a client. Coming at situations with a holistic approach and reviewing; assets, needs and goals of a client, what’s required now vs tomorrow, can all impact the how and why things might be structured.
